2018 Games Played

Goals for my game playing in 2018:

  • Don't sit on games of major interest when they're ready to play (released, patched, with all content, etc.)--plan ahead for big upcoming releases so I can dive in--I don't want to repeat 2017 where at year's end my top 3 (P5, NA, DOS2) games were all still untouched and I couldn't finish any of them
  • Trim down the backburner--i.e. go from about 10 backburner games (unfinished games to be returned to one day) down to about 3-5 at most
  • Don't let a week go by without starting a new game (i.e. every weekend start a new game if I haven't started one yet since last week)--so maybe have a short list of small, low-commitment games in the chamber for this purpose (e.g. scrolling shooters such as Metal Slug, Gradius, R-Type; short puzzle games; old/indie platformers; low-expectation games that I'm merely looking to sample)
  • Aim to start at least 2 games per week and finish at least 1 game per week.
  • End the year with at least 75 games played, 50 finished, and 25 from 2018.
  • As of 10/28: 53 games played; 30 finished, 11 from 2018. Revised goal: 65 | 40 | 15
