Excellent, just picked up a 3 day pass. I think it's unlikely the entire GB crew will go but I'm hoping a couple of the guys go. Either way I'm pretty excited and I hope they showcase some next-gen stuff as well as our local developers.

I could never get into Just Cause 2. Every time I watch people play it or talk about it looks like so much fun but I could just never get into it.

Like the OP I listen on the drive to work which is around 40minutes. The rest of the week I listen to Idle Thumbs and once I have them done I listen to the old XFM podcasts with Ricky Gervais. I try to keep up with Tested also but time can be an issue.

The Quicksave/ Quickload system on the PC is super convenient for a game like this.. Plus I dunno about load times off a HDD but off my SSD it's almost instantaneous..

This is a huge reason why I got the game on PC too, and I am so glad I did. In these stealth games (I'm playing as stealth) I save and load a hell of a lot and having quick load times is very handy. I played Dues Ex on 360 and the load times got really annoying.

Visually it looks great and works great with a 360 controller.

I've been doing this too, reloading every time a unit dies. I was happy with it at the start but now that I have a full roster of ranked troops I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of the tension that makes X-Com what it is. I get the feeling that I'm at the end of my first game on easy anyway so after this I'll be playing again on normal and not reloading.

My suggestion is to run the demo on your PC and see how the game takes to it.

This is the best advice, if the demo runs well for you and you're happy with it then go PC.

Knowing that this is a game I'm going to play through a few times I started out on easy to get a feel for things, and because I read that even easy was difficult. I'm finding easy to be just that so I'm aiming to play on normal the next time and hopefully work up to the hardest.

  • I shot the zombie kid in the attic, seemed like the right thing to do.
  • I told Vernon the truth.
  • I left Clem behind and gave her a gun, at the time I didn't think risking Clem was worth it and she can take care of herself.
  • I really don't like Ben and don't care if he lives or dies but I wasn't happy playing an active part in his death so I let him live.
  • I hid my bite from the group because I just had this instant reaction to not show anyone, can't really explain why.
  • I went at it alone, because I was bitten I didn't think the risk was worth it at the end of the day Clem is my responsibility.

I agree with a lot of people that this episode was a little weaker than the others but I still enjoyed it, I was actually quite taken aback when I thought I had to make a decision on if Clem was going to stay with me or not. I was initially against the idea but after giving it some thought I decided it was for the best for her to leave me and go with the others.
