The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.
Been using your wii lately?
Nope, played a bunch of One Piece Unlimited Cruise 1 a little while back, but the endless fetch quests got on my nerves so I stopped, i'll go back to it eventually though it was the first game to get me back on the Wii since HoTD Overkill.
" @The_A_Drain: Well thats why, look at what your playing. "
Uhhh, or not. If it wasn't for One Piece then I wouldn't have even used my Wii since HoTD Overkill, it would probably still be in the box from when I moved house.
I'm just not interested in the majority of the games on it at the moment, is that a crime? It's not like i'm bashing the console, I love the thing, I'm just not drawn to that many of its games right now.
ITT: Al3xand3r and CL60 get into another argument, with plenty of 5 paragraph essays between them that nobody actually reads besides the people having said argument.
Believe it or not, I have actually played my Wii recently... for about 45 minutes. Because my Xbox crapped out. I played Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, and then was reminded how actually playing those games is an adventure in pain. At that point I moved on to Twilight Princess (a game which I have yet to finish despite owning it for 3 years) and remembered why I stopped playing. (Hey! Let's make the player do the exact same thing like 4 times in every single dungeon and if he screws up he has to start all over again!)
Nope, that's mainly because it's in my sister's room but there aren't any titles that really interest me.
Yes. Been playing Okami, Pikmin, Naruto Rev. 2, Little King's Story, The Conduit and REmake during the vacation.
I haven't touched the Wii since I got a 360.
But I am moving soon and have all my systems, sans 360, packed.
The Wii will be set up and played first for sure.
" @The_A_Drain: HotD is a mediocre game.... "
Speaks volumes that it's the best thing on the Wii then doesn't it...
But seriously, I love this, I openly state there are a lot of great games on the Wii, just not ones i'm personally interested in, and somehow the reason my Wii never gets used is because i'm at fault. Yeah. Right. Like I would somehow use it a lot more by playing well critically recieved games that I hate... Stop kidding yourself.
Mediocre in your opinion, subjectivity plays a big part on what people enjoy doing on there own free time, I personally think HoTD Overkill is the best thing on the Wii at the moment that isn't a re-release from the Gamecube or a multiplatform title.
Yeah, I have been. There's plenty of great games for me to be playing.
I'll be playing it even more once I can get a copy of Little King's Story.
" @The_A_Drain: I cant understand your grammar. Maybe I am stupid but I can figure out what you are trying to say with "Speaks volumes that it's the best thing on the Wii then doesn't it..." and basically your whole post is pointing to something i dont see lol. "
What i'm saying is that HoTD (in my opinion) is the best game on the Wii. So you saying it's mediocre says a lot about the consoles games library (IE, it's all shit)
I was highlighting the fact that you were attempting to tell me my own opinion. Bottom line is that not everybody wants to fuck Link up the ass or suck off Mario 24/7, some of us want some decent non-nintendo games, and for me until I have enough money to get Wii Fit, my wii won't even be plugged in again unless I fancy going over HoTD Overkill again. Whether you personally think it's mediocre or not is irrelevant, that fact that I think it's great is the only thing that matters to me, therefore playing games you consider to be better won't get me anymore playtime on the Wii, i'll simply not play those games because I don't like them. Which is why you got a sarcastic response, for trying to tell me what games I should and should not enjoy.
Unfortunately, no. I just started getting back on my Wii a few days ago when a friend of mine challenged me to Super Smash Brothers Brawl. I'm gonna go on a "Wii-streak", however, at some point. Not only due to some pretty great games that are coming out this year and games that already came out that I wanted to try out like de Blob or Boom Blox, but also to beat most of the games I already bought for the system. And I'm getting a feeling to play Viewtiful Joe a lot again, so there's that.
my sims was the last wii game I bought and played which came out in Sept, 2007 so its been 2 years since I turned my wii on
he's referencing the latest bombcast.
Nope, haven't used my Wii since "Disaster : Day of Crisis" which I loved. I think the new Silent Hill might make me pull it out again though.
All the other stuff out on the Wii just bores me. All the mini game collections, Mario stuff (including brawl and Mario kart) , Wii sports and every sports game out there. Did I mention that I also hate fightting games?.
I just want good single player experiences. Eagerly awaiting Uncharted 2, Alan Wake, Mass Effect 2 and Heavy Rain. But those aren't on the Wii are they :)
Wii Sports Resort and Boom Blox Bash Party is it in the last 6 months.
Murmasa and NSMBW within the next six months.
Metroid: Other M and SMG2 next year.
And that's it.
