"Tales of Vesperia."I own it... Its a B- its pretty and sometimes entertaining and the characters are endearing, but its so anti-climactic... 36 hours into It I was already pushing to get it done.

"I don't care if you don't want Fallout 3. You will get Fallout 3."Totaly agreed... Fallout 3 is as good or better than Mass Effect. An I LOVE Mass Effect.
Eternal Sonata is a fairly decent RPG albeit short and linear, it does have a unique and nice art style though. However, if you really liked Oblivion I would recommend Fallout 3. It's Oblivion with guns and I've heard nothing but good things about it.
I'd go for Lost Odyssey. It's not a great RPG, but out of the ones not on your list, it's probably the best and meatiest of the bunch. It should tide you over for quite a while. Tales of Vesperia and Eternal Sonata after that, and if you're still hungry for more, try Blue Dragon. I love BD's gameplay, but god, I hated the story.
I can't say for most 360 JRPGs since they are exclusive. As for Eternal Sonata, I think you should give it a rental before buying it. Just see how you like the characters, the dialogues, the battle system, etc. I must say I'm disappointed with the game, making it hard to recommend.
As far as I know, in all seriousness, the JRPG scene is populated by mediocre Square offerings and somewhat good other offerings. My brother liked Eternal Sonata a lot.

As for your RPG problem, Id go with Jayge's choice. Fallout 3 should be played by anyone who likes RPGs.
Most of these games mentioned above are not real RPGs. i suggest you to give up your X360 temporarily and play following games (if you haven't beaten them though):
1- Diablo II with its expansion pack, but if you still can play the original game, why don't you play it first?
2- Fallout 2. i didn't played the original one, but this sequel was hilarious.
3- Final Fantasy VII,VIII, XI and X and XII(FF XI is MMO, you can't imagine what a mess a Console MMORPG would be). three of them are released for PC too, and the last ot wo are only available on PS2.
4- Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2. you will love this D&D game.
5- Sacred 2, a good Diablo clone witch released recently.
6- Some new East-European games like Witcher.

Not that there's anything wrong with your list(aside from the disturbing lack of Deus Ex)
Eternal Sonata was fun until about half way through where the story just got ridiculously bad and annoying and I couldn't go on. I liked the battle system though, and you can play co-op, which I did for awhile, but it can be pretty boring for the other person because all they do is help out in battle, which means they just mash a button every few minutes lol. If you had to get that, I'd recommend renting it as it's supposed to be pretty short for an RPG. I'd definatly recomend Blue Dragon though, it's cute and the story isn't too bad, and I liked the battle system. I'd read around a bit if I were you because there are a bunch of JRPG's out for 360 now and I don't see anyone talk about them much.
"As far as I know, in all seriousness, the JRPG scene is populated by mediocre Square offerings and somewhat good other offerings. My brother liked Eternal Sonata a lot."sadly this is true... Square seems to have garnered some rust. The art style has been great in the JRPG's this generation but my god give me something new... As much as I love Palom and Porom, I'd like to shoot the next Japanese dev. in the face who copies and pastes them in the game.
Get Fallout 3 if you're looking for another RPG, its seems to be the only thing you haven't played yet this year, in terms of a huge, really good RPG. Don't buy into that 'get this that and this JRPG over here!", fallout 3 is the best choice and there isn't a single bit of competition, since you've played Fable 2 already. Only JRPG coming out soon other than that isn't on the 360, that will probably be good, is persona 4.
I have two buddies who loved Lost Odyssey. They were playing through it together, but then tragedy struck.
My friend's dog chewed up disc 4.
I couldn't stop laughing. I'm a terrible friend.
I let another friend of mine fool around with two pre-op transexuals at this party (granted they were hella hot) fully knowing they were technically dudes and didn't bother saying anything till the after party where the rest of the crew had a hearty laugh after he was so cocky cause he'd kissed two girls at the party we were at. True story

I absolutely, for the sake of context and my head not exploding from a logic bomb, demand to know what grounds we are now basing what an RPG is.
Especially if were discrediting two games made by the creator of Final Fantasy. One of which (Lost Odyssey) practically was Final Fantasy.
Anyhoo, you have an Xbox 360. Congrats, there are a ton of both JRPG's and western RPG's to be had on this console. From the look of it you seem, (with you're examples given) to enjoy somewhat of a more active affair versus a turn-based one. I highly recommendTales of Vesperia. It's a massive game with a phenomenal active battle system.
If you enjoy a more traditional affair then I highly recommend Lost Odyssey. Hands down one of the best games I had played all year, and it reminded me why I liked JRPG's so much.
"Most of these games mentioned above are not real RPGs. i suggest you to give up your X360 temporarily and play following games (if you haven't beaten them though):Wait, so Tales of Vesperia and LOST ODYSSEY aren't RPGs but Final Fantasy 12 is?

"@ red and idiot:So you're judging the games you haven't played?
Simply, because i never played them."
How about you shut the fuck up about things you have no basis to talk about and just come with your suggestions?
Your horrible attempts at potshots towards the 360 line-up of rpgs makes your other worthwhile suggestions almost invalid.

Oh, and now the games you haven't played are not considered be in the same genre.
This makes perfect sense.
BTW: I see what you did with my name in you're reply. That was very clever.
