Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight and I, @zombiepie, am once again honored to be your host this week. The previous week in a lot of ways proved to be eventful by design and chance. As you will see below, a lot has happened the past week. From the dawn of fatherhood to important anniversaries, the staff and community have had a lot to celebrate while trying to survive the sweltering heat. So, without further ado, let's jump into the site related "housekeeping."
- The Gerstmanns had a baby! Use the link to congratulate Jeff and his wife for becoming parents!
- Giant Bomb turned eleven last week! Check out @marino's Tweet thread to see how far Giant Bomb has come since its launch!
- Over 100 levels have been submitted to the upcoming Giant Bomb video series for Super Mario Maker 2 video series! You can still submit levels to the feature and pocket a free premium membership!
- Vice wrote an article about Garfield memes and, as to be expected, Jeff's quest to beat every Garfield game is mentioned briefly.
Giant Bomb Galleria
Over on Twitter, jea_rum graced us with not one, but TWO awesome Giant Bomb banners this week. The first envisions the Giant Bomb logo as an anthropomorphic anime logo, and eagle-eyed viewers may be able to find a couple of Dragonball Z characters in the background. The second banner has some fun with what I would call one of Giant Bomb's most underrated videos, "CD-I Don't Know About These Games, Man." Hopefully you enjoy both and don't forget to use the link to show your support of the artist who made these wonderful works.
With Jeff becoming a father this week, Twitter user IdaScarzilla decided to combine Jeff with everyone's favorite video game dad, Kratos. Hopefully Jeff finds more success in training their child to use a bow and arrow.
Finally, we have Twitter user emilyvsart, and their effort to draw one of their favorite Giant Bomb moments involving Abby.
The excitement surrounding Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is still going strong, so I'm going to include the community activities for the game from last week this week as well. Here's another friendly reminder about Giant Bomb's massive and active free company for the game! Learn how you can join the fun by using the link above!
