Favourite Games of the Decade

We're little over a month away from being in the Tenses and out of the 2000s (or Noughties as some called it). It's been a great decade for games and has spanned two generations of consoles and countless great titles. 
 
My personal favourites in no particular order are:

" Burnout 3, Ninja Gaiden, Wipeout Pure "

Here's my top 10, in order.
 
1. Oblivion - I've sunk more hours in this game than any other. Four digit hour count, easily, and I have every title in the game to show for it.
2. GTAIV - It's just competent in all it does, and it does a lot.
3. MGS3 - Like this better than 2 and I haven't played 4, so this wins by default
4. Mass Effect - Complex story, fully voice acted, engaging gameplay. What's not to like?
5. Resident Evil 4 - They made Resident Evil playable, and have my eternal gratitude.
6. Diablo II - I love me some loot, but I don't really like playing with others(though I'm perfectly willing to play against them)
7. Rome: Total War - Huge battles. Thousands of soldiers going at it. Plus the strategy is pretty good, and I like the civ style campaign.
8. SoulCalibur II - The first Calibur game I played, though I played Soul Blade before it. Finally I understood what all the fuzz around SC.
9. Civilization IV - The depth of this game, and the depth which I stooped to play it...
10. Fallout 3 - Oblivion, with guns... kinda. I think Fallout 3 is in many ways better, and in equally many ways worse than Oblivion. Still, Oblivion set a high bar and this is a very good game.

That's what I got with a little thinking and its in no order.

World of Warcraft.
 
A lot of people hate on this game now, but honestly, it was the first MMO I ever played and it changed my gaming habits forever. Just when I was starting to fall out of love with videogames, WoW sucked me back in...for 3+ years. I'll never forget the excitement and wonder I felt as I leveled from 1-60 in vanilla WoW. Simply awesome.
 
As for other games, I guess Final Fantasy IX and the original Socom would be close seconds. Socom was the first online game I ever really played and man, did I play the shit out of that game. Now that I think about it, maybe those Pokemon games for the Gameboy Color would be up there too...gah, it's too hard to pick! I'll throw out the original Halo, too.
