Games I've Owned/Rented
I know it's the kind of list that ends up being listed a lot, but I though I'd share my general history.
This isn't necessarily in chronological order. List is likely incomplete due to my not remembering.

The first video game I ever played. Never got past the Chemical Plant stage as a kid (mostly due to the scary drowning music), still haven't gotten past Oil Ocean.
Yes. My parents did buy me this game. It's as bad as you've heard- had a bit of fun with the Noah stages though.
Again, was scared of drowning in the game. Never got past level 2.
Yeah, somehow I think my parents didn't know what exactly good games were back then.
Rental. Didn't like this game. Never really realized until recently it was a Power Rangers rip-off. Speaking of...
Rental. Had a good time with this one, even if it was a licensed game.
Rental. Yes, I played this as a kid. Yes, my mom made me turn off the blood. No, I didn't know any of the fatalities nor of their existence. No, I wasn't any good.
Rental. Never got far in this one either as a kid. Still liked it though.
Rental. Like all Sonic games, didn't get far but had fond memories.
Holy hell, this was a breath of fresh air. Especially after playing....
Proof that I was an idiot when I was a kid. I voluntarily rented this. And was promptly bored.
My introduction to the world outside of Sega, and the birth of my love affair with all things Nintendo.
Didn't beat this one until right before I went to college. Loved this game, but I didn't have the time to try to collect all 100 notes in one go as a kid.
Took me a while to stop going to Titania (where I would continually game over). I still have not cleared that stage to this day, though this is mostly from avoiding the stage. Beat the game for both endings, still a good time.
And so begins the games that I couldn't really play due to my not having a Memory Pack. Not much to say.
Another game that I didn't beat until right before college (I went on a binge). Abused the acceleration glitch to beat T.T. and the first Wizpig race.
God, I will preach the virtues of this game until the day I die. Physics engine, original stages, fun gameplay... a shame it never became big.
Red version. My first Game Boy game, though it was on a Color.
The other game that came with my Color. Lack of a save feature killed it for me.
Yet another one I didn't beat until right before college. I regret not playing through it sooner to the nth degree.
Holy shit, my first 2D Zelda was probably the best game of the whole Game Boy Color-era. Hell of a lot of fun.
Oh come on, like I would really skip out on the linked game? Even if I didn't have a Link Cable, it had passwords.
Complete and utter waste of my time. Then again, so was my brief time with the card game itself.
Rental. Regret not getting this game when I could.
Most fun I've ever had with a sports game.
This is the most fun I've had with a sports franchise. Yeah, I said it. It's more fun than Madden.
Horrible disappointment. I was hoping for a console Pokemon game. This... this was not that. Proof I still had yet to learn.
Rental. Only thing I used it for was abusing Mystery Gift.
Rental. Regret not buying this game. If I get the chance, I'm buying the cartridge or downloading it over the Wii when I get one.
Abused cheat codes to see the ending. I fucking hated 'Jungle Doldrums'. It can go right to hell.
Beat this one. Was a fan of the TV show at the time.
Silver. Most fun I've had with a Pokemon game.
Waste of a used game. Especially compared to...
Since I haven't played Friends of Mineral Town, I am declaring this the best game of the series.
The only pinball game I've ever played.
Most collectibles in a game, and it shows. It really shows. Another game that I beat (and got 201%) right before college.
Damn, this was a good game. Frame rate problems be damned, this was a good one.
On a system where there were no RPGs worth noting, this game ruled supreme.
Hell to the yes. Hell to the yes.
This is a very, very popular game at college for a reason.
Sapphire. The first sign that I was falling out of love with the Pokemon franchise, possibly due to oversaturation. Still beat it though.
Play this game right the hell now. DO IT.
Watched my dad play it.
Watched my dad play it.
...Yeah. I played this.
First RTS. It didn't end well.
Second RTS, swapped quickly after not liking the original. Couldn't grasp the concept of micromanaging and 'strategy'.
Again- very, very bad at strategy back then. Still am now.
Great game. Sucked at multiplayer though. Clicks per second!
Again, great game. Again, not good at multiplayer.
Watched my dad play it.
First M-rated game I ever played, and the first I played online.
Had the expansion installed when I installed the original game.
First time I really played a Warcraft game.
The story was pretty damn good. Played custom games like 'Alien'.
Borrowed from a friend. Breezed through the campaign legitimately.
Fire Red. My last Pokemon game. Just didn't quite sit well with me.
Makes me regret missing out on the Super Nintendo.
GBA version. Again, I missed out when I got the Genesis.
The only Mega Man game I've actually bought and played. I'm getting around to playing the X series.
Glitches stopped me from ever completing this game. I'll try again some day maybe...
Got this at Christmas with the GameCube. Took a while to beat, not the greatest Mario game out there.
GameCube. Hey Hey Hey, come on down, we gonna have some fun!
No GameCube was complete without this game. I don't care what you have to say about it.
Why do I keep returning to strategy games when I know all they do is hurt me?
My first Sonic game since the Genesis. I actually cried at the ending, I'm not shy to admit. Probably the best 3D Sonic in existence, followed closely by...
Camera problems be damned, this game was still fun. Only part I didn't like was the Big the Cat stages. Both Sonic Adventures created several of the problems that shunt the Sonic franchise into mediocrity today, but they were manageable in these games.
Now, 2D Sonic games were still pretty awesome. I don't care how easy or hard you're talking,
Lost a lot of time to this game. Twas fun while it lasted, d-d-dood.
Rental. Was rendered unable to progress past the arrival to the planet.
Probably the best RPG on the Cube.
I played this on the PC years after the fact, after being spoiled by the Internet. I still cried.
Too repetitive for my tastes. What happened to having different stages? Characters/teams played too similarly, even if their goals might have differed.
Blue shells galore, but I still beat it senseless.
It might be the dark horse of the Mario franchise, but I still liked it.
Rental. I got physically sick playing this game, and not just from the camera. It just.... HURT to play this game.
A broken controller made movement in this one difficult. Still, having to water crops multiple times per day didn't sit well with me. Abused the spice glitch.
The first strategy game that I genuinely enjoyed. I'm still looking for the Wii sequel.
This isn't Star Fox. It's not a bad game to be fair, but it's not Star Fox.
Rental. A bit simple for me, but I mainly stayed in the City Mode. Still liked it though.
Back in the 64 days, some of these games weren't so great. I miss Bumper Balls though.
Probably the best of the franchise, brought back the best minigames.
The last Mario Party I played. Lost all of the good games, and single player was criminal.
Even though the first game was truncated greatly to fit into a compilation on the Cube, I liked it.
Dear Sega: Please give us a sequel. This was a breath of optimistic air in an age of dark and dreary RPGs.
My only way to play classic Sonic games now that I don't have a Genesis. Sometimes, rereleasing old games is a good thing.
Rental. Waste of time, but I played it alone.
Fuck you, Fire Leo. What the fuck.
Still need to play this one. Once I get that Cube back...
Rental. This... this was just....
Stealth sections can go to hell.
I may not like stealth sections, but this was a great game. But why the Triforce hunting, other than to lengthen the game?
I can play as Link? Huzzah!
....Why did I get this on the PC again? Oh that's right, I didn't have an XBox.
PC version. This should've been more popular, just to support the concept.
Took me months to get my computer to let me go to Dantooine. Still a great game.
Where'd the ending go? This could've been better than KOTOR, guys!
Got this off GOG. I missed out when I was a kid....
More proof that I missed out when I was a kid.
