That will certainly be on the list if I get a 3DS. I'll be more than willing to embrace them again if they turn around a Paper Mario game worthy of its predecessors.
It seems as if I am averaging on the high end here. I wonder if there are any PC enthusiasts who can drop in their opinions as well.
How do you live with that monitor? It's the bit you're staring at the whole time, and as far as I can tell it's a Hanns-G that costs around $270 (possibly with secondary/tertiary inferior monitors).

On my end, I'm waiting for Black Friday to do a mobo switch so I can go all SSD without getting kneecapped performance from my well-worn SATA II ports. That'll put me over 2 grand this year no problem, though that total includes a pair of terrifyingly expensive headphones as well as several semi-exotic peripherals (Hydra, Das Model S, etc).
I've lost a lot of my faith in Intelligent Systems the last few years. Between Advance Wars and Paper Mario they have a legacy anyone could proudly hang their hat on but, as much as it pains me to say it, I think they've forgotten what made their games compelling. I feel like the Zelda team has had this problem for a decade, and watching it spread through one of my favorite devs is heartbreaking.
I'm absolutely not about to dismiss Sticker Star out of hand, but I don't own a 3DS yet and as far as I can see this game will be my swingvote on its purchase; that's a high bar, higher than my expectations.
I bought a Benq XL2420T recently. As far as TN panels go it is very sharp, and it is great for making faster-paced shooters render more smoothly, but even a cheap IPS (ala the U2412M) provides a better visual experience I find.
If you want to spend more on a monitor go IPS, not 120 Hz. Unless you plan on toying with 3d, the payoff from better color on an IPS beats out the 120Hz refresh bump in nearly all cases.
Just curious. I don't play games enough to waste my time in metagame business models, so I'm still doing my part not to encourage it.
I'm missing out on plenty of great stuff, I don't doubt that. But DLC splits too many multiplayer experiences unnecessarily and has too much potential to hurt the cohesion of singleplayer games for me to be comfortable with the idea.
Just sayin'. The guys here fixed the footer almost immediately to include their new office buds, but no love's been shown in the other direction. It's possibly just an innocuous oversight (or the slipped start of a diabolical scheme) but I figured it was worth mentioning for any sham rage it will probably engender.
Yes, I know this should probably be posted on Gamespot, but I haven't set up my account over there yet and, in a record-setting fit of laziness, opted to come back here to complain about it instead of fixing that. Maybe next week.
Well thanks again guys, I'm excited to start playing. May even replay Oblivion for the hell of it. I need to buy a monitor too, would a TV work until then, with HDMI?
For some a TV works better than a monitor regardless. If it's a 1080p screen, of course.
