Welcome to the Official Friend Code Topic, v2.1

Okay, my edits are complete. What you have before you is a much more followable display of the friend codes, using the handy dandy table system. It works as follows; the name is at the far left, and all codes associated with him are located to the right of him. The code corresponds to the column in which it's located. Changes I've made:

-At the request of chazer127, I've put in a "Region" column to allow for people to more easily connect with one another, without having to worry about time zone difference.

-I've added a "Status" system. Every once in a while, I'll come back and update the statuses of everyone accordingly. The basic rule of thumb is that if you haven't done a single thing that shows up in your RSS feed for 2 weeks, you are considered "Inactive". This is an alternative to just deleting their stuff, which can be a pain to retrieve if they ever return.

-You see all those dotted lines? Those are codes we don't have. I may not speak for everyone, but I can say that each of these games is worth buying. I recommend, above all, for everyone to get Tetris Party and Bomberman Blast!. Both are only 10 dollars, and are a real blast to play online

-Due to limitations with the table setup in terms of space, some games with both very few users and that have been out for a long time will be kept under the table. I will most likely delete these eventually, especially Guitar Hero 3. UPDATE: I have removed Batallion Wars 2, Mario Strikers and Medal of Honor Heroes 2 completely from the list.

GAMES THAT NEED CODES

Animal Crossing: City Folk just released. We could use some codes for that to allow for inter-village mingling. Also, the WiiSpeak peripheral has released, and with it a new channel that I assume supports friend codes. Lastly, Guitar Hero: World Tour is out. I'm not sure if it supports friend codes or not, but if it does, you'll have to start slappin them up there. Of these three, WiiSpeak holds priority in building a stronger Wii community. I recommend all of you (including myself) buy it. Also, there really is no reason anyone on this list should not have a Brawl code to give.

Also, I hope a good deal of you get The Conduit. It's a game that we could actually hold Bombing Runs well on, probably, with voice chat and all.

Also, as a side note, I would recommend all of you Bomberman Blast! and Tetris Party. Both have very fun multiplayer functions and have online play, and could help to build a Wii community at Giant Bomb.

Thanks for the Bomberman codes, I'll add you once I connect my Wii to the web.

I was thinking of implementing a new policy for this list, and I wanted to hear your input. What do you think of me trying to trim away the inactive users from the list? I'd do this by checking the account activity of some of the people every so often, to see if they're ever on. If they don't seem to be on alot, I'd send them a PM asking them to respond to keep their codes on here. If they didn't respond within a week, I'd take them off the list.

What do you guys think about this?

I can see the whole table fine on the widescreen display of my laptop, but on the 1152 x 864 display I'm using right now, I can only see up until half-way through the Bomberman column. I suggest you move Bomberman and Tetris to their own sections and eliminate the Status column, and potentially the Wii System Code column to create more space for the three major games: Brawl, Mario Kart, and Animal Crossing.

I'd hate to see certain games take priority over others, especially when Tetris Party!'s online mode is better than Brawl's. I've been thinking about taking out the Wii system code, since its only function, sending messages, can be more easily accomplished over Giant Bomb. I just had it in there because it was there from DanGuy's thread. The status system is also very halfassed, and I contacted Snide to see if we can work out a better one to possibly come in the next system update. For now, I'll remove the status system and Wii system codes, and I'll see how it's viewed on a smaller res. I really hate to prioritize City Folk over a game like Bomberman, though, because it would be difficult to incorporate Animal Crossing into a game night setting. We'll see how the update as is pans out, and go from there.

UPDATE:

-Removal of the "Status" system until a more applicable one can be applied

-Removal of the "Wii System Code" Column.

Okay, I looked at it, and it turns out that no matter what I delete, it's going to stretch from one side of the screen to another. There's got to be a clever way to prevent that.
