    Overview

Digital Devil Monogatari: Megami Tensei II is the sequel to the original Digital Devil Monogatari: Megami Tensei. However, while the first game was based on the first novel in a trilogy by author Aya Nishitani, the sequel moves off into its own direction, ignoring the novels entirely for an original experience.

    Demon Compendium

Megami Tensei II does not feature the typical series alignment system of LAW-NEUTRAL-CHAOS, but orders demon classes by the similar Evil (E), Neutral (N), or Good (G) distinctions. Demons are listed with their levels from highest to lowest.
