Fuck Microsoft. I'm getting a ps3

So I'm having a conversation with my Dad, right? It goes like this.

Me- Surfing gamespot
Dad- Hey have you heard about them Blurey player things?
Me- Yeah, most people just buy ps3s though because they have blurey built in and cost the same (true? I don't know!!
Dad- Oh well I'm gonna get me one of those.

Which means... I'm getting a PS3. I'm sick of Microshit's bullshit!!!!!!! Fuck I mean if I could go back I would have so gotten a PS3 or a Wii instead of the 360.  I don't give a SHIT how many good games are out on 360 who wants to give there console in every six fucking months to get repaired!?!?! Don't sell a fucking product if it doesn't work.  Stop working on the next xbox and make a fucking 360 that works!!! Fuck that there are enough good games on the ps3 that actually fucking work! Sorry about the swearing.

It's always golden when you can convince your parent to buy a PS3 because of the BluRay. I agree with the whole thing about the 360's failure rate being bullshit, but I think I'd still take it over the PS3 due to the controllers and everything.

Well thats the same reason I switched to ps3, because of Blu-Ray and it has games that I enjoy that I wouldn`t or can`t get on a 360, plus my ps3 hasn`t had one problem, I would have been on my fourth 360 by now if I kept it.

Standalone blu ray players are now half the price of a ps3. But the PS3 is still the best because of the PS3's processing power.

Blu-ray is expensive and overrated. But if you are really into movies and have extra cash to dish out then its the way to go I guess. BTW, the PS3 is worth it more for the games.

As a PC gamer I have little time for consoles or console discussion to be honest. But if I was going to buy any console it would definately not be the 360, that console is like the bastard child of a one night stand between the PC and the Playstation....

I understand being a bit peeved about the 360's failure rate, it really is a kick in the junk when your Xbox red-rings.

The good thing about the PS3's blu-ray funcionality is that a lot of players have to have firmwear updates to even play the latest discs and I've heard that getting a stand alone player to get online is a pain (that's just heresay though). The PS3 updates it's blu-ray firmwear with the rest of the console's so you'll be up to speed on any blu-ray disc you buy.

But in all honesty, you probably shouldn't write off the 360 all together. It still has some of the best games around. That's why I own all 3, so I don't miss out on any killer exclusives :).

Every console is good for its own reasons...even the shit Wii. However the best non console is the PC. PS3 is still great though, too bad I won't spend 30 bucks on BluRey movies.

I can't see wanting to give up a ton of good games just because you can get your console repaired for free during a three-year time frame, unless the waits are longer in the US than they are here (about a week from call to refurbished arrival).

Bluray Player = $200-300
PS3 = $400

Pretty easy choice. Anyone wanting a bluray should definitely get a PS3 (heck, get it anyway since it's the best console).

If my 360 breaks one more time I'm getting a PS3. I'm not paying $99 dollars just to get it fixed again. It's gone down like 4 times now, and it always makes me nervous about my 360.

i shared your opinions for a while, even though i still think the 360 has great games, i think ps3 has plenty of great ones too that have totally satisfied me, more so than anything 360 has (like mgs4). and i LOVE blu-rays. once you go blu-ray, dvds are trash

Yup, I agree with your Dad! Getting a PS3 is more economical seeing as how it costs 399.00 USD and contains more features. I'm sure the 129.00 USD blu-ray players don't have what he's looking for. Who knows, he might let you play a game in it once in a while.

How does bluray have to do with games, its just a media, they can place games on multiable dvd's if ur gonna hate the 360, hate it for its hardware quality
