If I could get a 360 I would. So in the end I have to stick with my Wii, PS3 and PC. That doesn't make me a liar, I'm just poor. And it just so happens that I care for good games more rather then consoles.

I thought that everyone who had the balls to call themselves "gamers" loved games more than the consoles. That's common knowledge for most of us, I assumed.
I guess I was wrong really, seeing threads like this and other threads where people who tries to act like he/she is a gamer yet only love the console they place "some game" on. Disgusting :(

I don't understand the point of this thread. The users of giantbomb are normal people, same as any other forum on the internet, and there is no real need to attempt to categorise them. Each user is an individual.

And I'm a liar? Cool, because I know I'm not always honest! Preferring one console over another makes me more aligned toward that brand? I might use my X360 a lot more than my Wii, but I definitely don't support Microsoft more.

What are you, 12? Anyone who holds a crush on a video game machine is a giant man baby. Maybe you just can't comprehend a world in which people don't give two shits about loving a giant corporation because they made a console.
If you're a true fan of good games, you shouldn't care and should want to own all consoles.

I am not allowed to make observations? okay I'll make note of that.
I'm not "allied" with any system. I like awesome games, and it doesn't matter what system an awesome game is on. I have all three of the current generation consoles, and though I use some more than others (the wii has been turned off for quite some time now), I like them all.
The whole idea of being "allied" with a system or company is silly to me. System Wars sucks.
The Nintendo users are most definitely the most defensive, but I'd say the PS3 ones are the most confrontational. I often see threads started by Playstation aligned users sparking arguments or comparing said Playstation franchise to equivalent Xbox franchise.. and so forth. And I do think the 360 aligned users are more laid back about it, and tend to post more constructive counter arguements. The PC users are pretty much eclipsed by everyone else, but as always they have their smug sense of supriority and look down on the consoles.
As a neutral user, feel free to call me a liar but I honestly care very little about the console themselves, and simply play games regardless of their platform. When it comes to multiplatform releases, I'll buy the game for which ever system has the superior version. (Like how I recently bought Arkham Asylum for the PS3 for the Joker content, and pre-ordered the 360 version of Bayonetta for obvious reasons). Failing that, I'll go with the achievements :)
I've spent a lot of time on Giant Bomb and just don't think these statements ring true. Also personally I am a neutral user but it doesn't mean that I don't have a preference in which systems I play, I just don't feel attached to the consoles of any one company strongly enough to say that I am a fan of specifically them.
