My Little's Sister's Favorite Franchises/Games/Characters/Concepts/Objects

Long title, yep... Basically I walk in on my little sister playing certain games, see what the heck she likes, and try to understand why she likes those things. Why am I doing this? Because she likes a lot of random stuff. It might be fun for me. Anyway, this list is in no particular order, should be organized as Franchise, then game, then characters/concepts/objects associated to game, and then either another game in the franchise or a different franchise.

Warnings for this list include: A massive onslaught of the Fire Emblem franchise, a lot of my sister's quotes, my quotes, quotes from the game, my sister's opinions, and some really weird reasons for a girl to like a character. It doesn't even sound like she likes the character... Oh, yes, and SPOILERS.

  • "Be strong, Marth! And for the freaking love of whatever god you worship, kill the damn boss already!"

  • The red knight of the social knights! "I can't believe it...slinking away like a coward...how could I abandon them?" "You're bleeding to death. What else could you do?"

  • The green knight of the social knights! "Where are the support conversations, dammit?!"

  • Always thought her name was Shiida, but whatever. She was pretty in this game.

  • "Yipes, an enemy ambush!" "Wow, Marth, freaking wow! What's wrong with you?!"

  • "Why did he die?!" "Because his defense sucks." "Why are mages cursed with such horrible defense?! Why?!" "All they wear are thin little cloaks. Of course their defense would be horrible." "You should've dodged, Archetype that gave birth to Erk, Lute, Ewan, and Soren..."

  • "Dude, he's just like Karel!" "You mean, a psycho bloodthirsty guy who for some reason decides to join your army?" "No, he's a hot long-haired swordsmaster."

  • In her opinion, Melee > Brawl.

  • Roy's game is still in Japan, so for now, he goes under Melee. When trying to unlock him, "You red-haired punk, I'll kill you!!" After unlocking him, "He's hot!" I think that's how her fetish for red-haired guys started...

  • She never stops playing these games...ever...

  • I also play this game. My sister always spends forever on it, though.

  • She's still not done with this game yet.

  • She refuses to play this until she's done with Wild World, but she does have a character in this game and plays it occasionally until she's ready to restart and use a file transfer.

  • We will never complete this game 100% ever. But it's still fun.

  • See above game. Never. We like the whole shooting mini game, but hate how there's no competition mode.

  • It can get repetitive. It can get meh. It can get boring. And yet, she holds a place for it on this list.

  • Red-haired guy. She has a fetish for red-haired guys.

  • The person that can play an ocarina besides Link, Saria, Zelda, and other characters that can play ocarinas.

  • The butler that cackles evilly after killing an enemy. And he's got a gun.

  • "Oh my god, he's got a gun!"

  • The game probably wouldn't exist if there weren't any...

  • Yay for the franchises we grow up with!

  • Green dinosaur that throws its unhatched young at enemies or eats them with its long tongue and carries babies. Also happens to be cute.

  • A rainbow of yoshis. And they all want to hurt you for some reason...

  • The franchise that's about a pink blob with a bottomless hole for a stomach.

  • The blue blob with a mask and a cape and wings and a sword. Also happens to be cute.

  • She's too scared to play the game in the respective franchise. Well, she played a DS game for it, but the metroids ended up killing her. She has a metroid furniture piece in Animal Crossing, though, and it's one of her favorite pieces of furniture.

  • You all saw this coming. "...wait...SHE'S A GIRL?!"

  • "I will never completely understand what Kingdom Hearts is about." "But you're okay with that?" "Strangely, yes."

  • It was a late Christmas gift I bought for my little sister because she was curious about the game. I didn't get to play it much, but I fell in love with the game. The ending is bittersweet just like Ocarina of Time. My little sister loves Cloud and Squall. That fan girl.... Well, I liked Squall, too.

  • Only in Kingdom Hearts. She didn't like her very much in Kingdom Hearts II. I think she liked her in Birth by Sleep, though. "Aw...she's so cute! It's too bad her voice is annoying."

  • The 2nd gift I bought for my little sis. Little did I know, there was a game before it in the timeline. How was I supposed to know?

    One of the weirdest things, is that the game requires the traditional memory card. I was like "what?" My sister noticed Sora and Riku's shipping moments such as when Sora meets Riku at the end of the game and goes "Riku, I looked everywhere for you!" while crying Kairi is like "0_0, what, you missed him more than me?" Come on Sora, treat your friends, equally.

  • My sister find this game hard. I never knew they went into card games. She finds Riku's story more interesting, and I think she loves Namine more than Kairi. I think I'm the same, too. Note: Okay, I was wrong. She doesn't like Namine.

  • I don't know why. She didn't like anybody at all in Kingdom Hearts (except for Kairi and Cloud, but Cloud doesn't count) She liked him a lot in Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II, though. "Why are you so much stronger than Sora?!"

  • Well, I watched the cutscenes with her after she completed each of the character's individual stories. She seems to like Ventus more than Sora, but Terra is her favorite character in the Kingdom Hearts franchise so far. Not counting Cloud and Auron since they're actually from Final Fantasy and not Kingdom Hearts.

  • For whatever reason, she actually fights and survives better with Terra. "Why are you so gullible?! Ventus isn't even that naive; there is something wrong here..."

  • For whatever reason, she fights and survives the worst with Ventus. I have no idea when she switched her preferences from speed to power, but I know she likes Ventus better than Roxas. "Roxa--! Oh, you are not Roxas...but you ARE smarter than Sora. Wingblades!! Cool!"

  • The second Dissidia game I got her. Has yet to beat it 100%. "All you do in this game is fight and buy stuff!"

  • The first Dissidia game I got her. Beat both cycles, and now she's on the "Confessions of the Creator." Has beaten lvl 95 Feral Chaos, but not the second one. "Chaos, you cheap son of a guuuuuun!"

  • She's liked him ever since he's appeared in the Olympic Colloseum. I wonder if her opinion will change once she beats FFVII. Also, he's one of the first characters to reach level 100 in her Dissidia games. "Finally! It's about time someone asked what the heck we're fighting for in this game!"

  • We have Crisis Core, but I'm not sure if she really likes the game since she complains about how painful the dialogue is. And it's not "painful, so I like it 'cause it fun to watch", but painful as in "I wish they would shut up; it's horrible." It's fairly obvious she seems to like Zack, though. I hope she doesn't end up crying at the end of the game.

  • After playing Dissidia, she downloaded FFVII for the PSP from the PlayStation network. She's liked Tifa ever since she played KHII, though. I thought she'd get all upset about the fanservice and her large bust size, but it didn't happen.

  • After playing Dissidia, she's been doing research on this character. "Let me fight on the ground, you!"

  • After playing Dissidia 012, she's been doing research on this character. Also, SPOILER WARNING. "Squall's...father...? WHAT?! How...what?!"

  • I don't know if she liked her in KHII. I do know that she's one of the first characters to reach level 100 in her Dissidia game, though. "Burn everything in sight!"

  • She's liked him ever since KHII and has been doing research on him. "Best key chain thing ever!"

  • She hated him in Kingdom Hearts, but ended up liking him more in Kingdom Hearts II. After playing Dissidia, she's been doing research on this character. He's also one of the first characters to reach level 100 in her Dissidia games. "You have a horrible attitude and a badass fighting style. Damn you for being this way."

  • This franchise was introduced to us once my little sister found out that Vyse appears in the first game. "I need this game. I need this game NOW."

  • Sure, it isn't perfect, but it's GOOD. And it's fun to play despite the difficulty. I'm on my second playthrough. My little sister is scared to finish the game because one of the characters will die when she does.

  • Her favorite female character. Period. Ever since she first saw her. Of course, if you've ever played past Marberry Shore, you understand what her reaction was.

  • Her favorite male character. Pretty much the same way she felt about Isara. Of course, if you've ever played past Naggiar Plains... "SEGA! Why do you do this to everyone I looooove?!"

  • Second favorite male character. Unless we're including Squad 7 recruits which she never does. "It's only been five minutes into the game and this guy gets arrested for talking to FISH."

  • "..." "..." "...who did we just recruit?" "Somebody who can kill tanks and inspire absolute terror!"

Yeah that didn't happen to me before, cause the first Metroid game that it ever play was Metroid Prime on GameCube. :S

I struggle financially to provide video games to my little sister and my brother because I don't have a job. I just do odd jobs as a student to buy some Christmas or birthday gifts. They know how expensive games are. My wishlist would be the Final Fantasy games since my sister got hooked on Kingdom Hearts.
