Giant Bomb finally hits the big time
Giant Bomb's page on Rapelay was mentioned in this article. Awesome.
EDIT: oh, and sorry if this was posted before. I did a quick scan, and didn't see anything.
Sky News said:
"According to game review site Giant Bomb, RapeLay is a "molestation simulation that allows you to terrorise a woman and her two teenage daughters, with events ranging from groping on a train to gang rape and forced abortions"."Cool. This is just the start of the inevitable future that GB will be THE definitive encyclopedia for gaming knowledge.
I think its sort of awesome GiantBomb got name dropped to quote some information on the game in question. Sure the tone and aim of the article was to essentially say the game is bad and people who play it are bad. But they went to GiantBomb for some info on the game, not some other source. So its a sign perhaps that the site is starting to be recognised as a source for outlets to come to for information on this sort of thing.
Good stuff, even if its perhaps a questionable article to be mentioned in.
Wonder if this means theres a member of the sky news team thats a registered user??
"Wonder if this means theres a member of the sky news team thats a registered user??We shall rule the world...:oDudes, if sky news are looking here for info on games - we could edit the wiki pages with false info to subconciously send messages across the mass media!!!THINK ABOUT IT!!"
:P.
Wow that game is in 3D and all. Looks quite a lot like Artificial girl but in urban environments, not to surprising since it if from the makers of that game.
I was expecting something a bit more hardcore really. Link NFSW btw:

Even if this is not the best game to show Giantbomb has info, it sure is a start and I'm glad they found there information here.
" the tone and aim of the article was to essentially say the game is bad and people who play it are bad. "I read a similar article in the sun, and it made the sky article look like a positive look on the game. The sun article went as far as to brand anyone who plays it as "sickos". Press neutrality FTW!!!!!
Wow. I'm kinda disgusted by the fact that this game exists but I'm also thinking "WOAH! Giantbomb got a million new members because they apparently have news about said game"
Anyways, Giantbomb has been getting a lot of cool features and video segments together lately and with the redesign coming up I'm sure we'll be hearing many more citations in the months to come.
"I feel honored to be a member of the website that is the first place to go for info on raping sims. We seem to be on the right track :)"lmao
"Gotta love that google. The lazy reporter's best friend"Here's the crazy thing though. They directly reference the Belfast Telegraph, which already contained a description of what the game entails. Sky News actually went the extra mile to find out more.
Well, here's what I think about it:
"I smell a rape concept page coming."Dalai, I can't take anything you are saying that involves the word "rape" seriously with those eyes. -_- It's impossible.
At least GB wasn't name-dropped in an article about the underage-looking-girl-getting-raped-by-a-dog-in-front-of-a-video-camera-while-crying simulator I found while browsing a online hentai gaming store with some friends one day.
I don't even think there's an article here on that. It was a doujin title that slipped under the radar of everyone but me and my friends, so it'll probably stay that way for awhile too. I don't even remember the name of the title or the website but they had an interview (in english) with the creator of the game. He seemed like a nice enough guy , you know, except for the fact he made a creepily detailed game about pornographers taking advantage of a girl and forcing her to get devirginized by a household pet and all. I vividly remember him stating in one of the questions that he wanted to make new friends overseas in the indie gaming community, but I don't think the way to get your foot in the door is by making games like that.
