May Vita lineup and upcoming titles

Well, it happened. Two and a half-ish years of getting the list update out on the first of the month, and I finally missed one. Wasn't really any good reason for it, I had time set aside for it in the evening - I just plain forgot. Though at least one of the main culprits was me playing Broken Age on my Vita. Anyway, it's May andI'm here with a new version of my list of current and upcoming games for the PlayStation Vita. As usual, this list is focused on the North American market, with Europe and Japan exclusive titles in their own sections below.

Not much annouced for May so far. On the retail side, we have Neptunia hack n' slash spin-off Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed, with Senran Kagura developer Tamsoft finally letting you bash Dogoos in real time. Also supposedly coming is the Vita version of Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, though the physical version appears to be a Gamestop exclusive. Otherwise, there's indie shooters Cosmophony and Ultratron on PSN. Steins;Gate might also be coming - it's a May title in Europe, though no firm news as to when North America is getting it. As always, this is just preliminary list, there pretty much always a bunch more PSN titles annouced as the month goes on.

As for April new game reveals, aside from the previously mentioned indies releasing this month, Sony continued their partnership with Virtual Toys for another licensed kids title - Looney Tunes Galactic Sports. The rest were localizations, with Atlus revealed they're bringing the "too hot for NeoGAF" dungeon RPG Dungeon Travelers 2 to the west, while Koei Tecmo's launching their expanded version of last years Deception IV - named The Nightmare Princess. Idea Factory and Aksys fired the first two shots of the English language otome invasion of the Vita, with Amnesia: Memories and Code: Realize: Guardian of Rebirth respectively. And we got some more indie-ish games from Japan with Nekoburo Catsblock and Croixleur Sigma.

In Japan, highlights included a Vita exclusive Taiko Drum Master game, a new Utawarerumono SRPG, and a whole slew of visual novels.

Finally, some houskeeping. The Vita version of Guns Up! has been officially canceled, so it's been removed. Also removed was tri-Ace's free to play shooter Judas Code, since it's getting shut down in Japan it seems highly unlikely we'll see it localized in the west.

And it looks like we're done. Join me next month when Demon Gaze creators Experience Inc. return with another dungeon crawler RPG - Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy:
