It's August, and I'm back again with another edition of my monthly list of current and upcoming titles for the PlayStation Vita. As usual, this list is focused on the North American market, with Europe and Japan exclusive titles in their own sections below.

August is shaping up to be a solid month for releases, with acclaimed visual novel Steins;Gate, BlazBlue spin-off Xblaze Lost: Memories, as well as dungeon crawler Dungeon Travelers 2 all hitting retail. For downloads, the still pretty sizable Resident Evil: Revelations 2 and One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 are comming, in addition to otome visual novel Amnesia: Memories, and indies DiscStorm, Actual Sunlight, Volume, and Nova-111. Not on the list is however Galak-Z. Due out this month, the Vita version has unforutnately been cancled due to problems getting it to run on the platform without a complete rework. As always, this list is preliminary and there are usually more games annouced as the month goes on.

For new games, Aksys and Spike Chunsoft revealed that they've finally stared development on a sequel to Virtue's Last Reward. Atlus and Vanillaware annouced they're remaking Odin Sphere, and it's already confirmed for a North American release. And Bandai continued their localization efforts with a western release of RPG Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. In Europe BigBen revealed they've acuired the World Rally Cross and World Rugby Championship licenses, and are putting out Vita versions of both games. Beyond that, a whole slew of indies commited to Vita versions, see below for the full list.

In Japan, there were also plenty of new game annoucements. Highlights include Steins;Gate 0, Digimon World: Next Order, Exist Archive, Dragon Quest Builders, and The Idolm@ster: Must Songs. Again look below for the full list.

And, we're done. Come back next month when Monokuma makes his triumphant return to the Vita in Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. Also I hear there's some silly rythm game about a bunch of teens and a bear who dance inside their TVs, but who cares about that?
