Hello and welcome to the future! That's right it is 2015 and I hope that you have been enjoying your state issued hoverboards and Jaws 33 as much as I have. Well anyways I am happy to be your host as always, and lets get on to the first bit of site housekeeping this year. As you all have already have heard Patrick is leaving Giant Bomb to assume a position at Kotaku. The Giant Bomb moderation team would like to remind you that while Patrick may not be a member of the staff he still is, and always will be, a member of this community. Patrick has left the site on good terms, and with the blessings of all of the Giant Bomb staff. Negative, rude, and hostile comments directed towards him or related to him will not be tolerated as they violate our Community Rules. Giant Bomb and CBSi are actively seeking out a new news editor that can work in the New York office. With that be aware that 1/5 will mark the full return of Giant Bomb in terms of content. Let's try to survive this new year together.

As it's the new year I am going to go ahead and combine all of the Game of the Year blogs with the general discussion blogs. If you still have not gotten around to writing your GOTY blog never hesitate to share your thoughts and share a link here to get some promotion for your content. The real notable this week comes from ZanzibarBreeze who has compiled the best moments of The Bombcast into a single, albeit 12 hour, two part audio file that you can download and enjoy. N7 finally got around to playing The Last of Us and comments on how it made him feel, whereas TheAcidSkull got his hands on the Halo 5 beta and shares his early impressions of what he played. veektarius sat down and played a full days worth of Dynasty Warriors games and shares why he enjoyed the experience, similarly morecowbell24 is nearing the 2,000 hour mark on Dota and details why he has no regrets. MooseyMcMan entered the modern era with a smartphone this week, and Mento is starting a new wiki project that involves the popular GameCenter CX television show. BlackLagoon starts the month the only way he knows how to, and that is with a list of all the games coming out for the Vita.
